We have put a lot of work to map the best walking and hiking tracks in Gozo with great hidden secrets along the way. Gozo Walking/Hiking Tips

  • * Bring a backpack with you, to carry your water, some food and other accessories.
  • * During your walk always take 2 litres of water per person.
  • * Wear a good shoes or sandals that has a good grip.
  • * Bring some light snacks.
  • * Bring your swimming clothes since you might want to have a swim during the walk.
  • * Even in winter carry sun protection cream because the sun can still be strong.
  • * Always watch where you are walking and make small steps on slippery ground.
  • * Watch out for small stones in the path. They can be very slippery.
  • * Beware of wet clay on your shoes. It becomes very slippery on rocks.
  • * Never walk fast or jump in tall grass. You might twist your ankle in an unseen hole.
  • * When you walk in a cultivated field try and walk on the side so no crops are destroyed.
  • * During the hunting season avoid areas where hunters are concentrated to avoid accidents.
  • * If you feel that part of the track is hard and you are tired walk back.
  • * When tired about doing walking cause you can easily hurt yourself.
  • * Avoid drinking alcohol before the walk/hike.
  • * When windy avoid being next to the cliff edge and away from stormy seas.
  • * Avoid walking in Lighting Storms.
  • * Of course do not forget your camera to shoot some amazing photos of Gozo.
